About Michelle

Michelle has been a psychotherapist for 30 years.  She served a clinical associate faculty appointment at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Psychiatry and has published in The Journal of Hospital and Community Psychiatry.  Michelle has been faculty of the Training Institute for Mental Health where she taught post graduate psychologists and social workers evidenced based Internal Family Systems (IFS) trauma treatment.   At the National Institute of the Psychotherapies, Michelle has led trauma therapy seminars for trauma therapists.  Michelle currently supervises and teaches, Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS)  in Montclair, NJ.
 Michelle graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors Program at the University of Delaware with a degree in psychology. She  received her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) – Parts Work. Certified therapist.                                                                                                        
Somatic Experiencing (SE): Advanced Practitioner.                                      
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy      (AEDP):  Certified Level 1 therapist.                                                               
Psycho-analytically trained.                                       
EMDR:  levels 1 and 2.

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training.

Structural Family therapy.  Completed training at Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania’s, Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic.
